Terms of Service

These terms describe what Opterva does today. The service is early and free: no plan has a price, nothing charges anyone, and there is no paid subscription to cancel. When that changes, these terms change with it and you will be told before it applies to you.
1. Who we are
Opterva is operated by Antypas Ventures. In these terms “we” and “us” mean Antypas Ventures, and “you” means the person or organisation using the service. You can reach us at support@opterva.com.
2. What the service does
Opterva maintains a registry of places you can launch a product to, checks those destinations automatically for whether they respond, and assesses a product you describe against each destination’s stated requirements. It records campaigns and submissions that you carry out.
It does not submit anything on your behalf, does not write your copy, and does not currently tell you which destinations are worth your time. Those are described on the pricing page as not built, and nothing in these terms should be read as promising them.
3. Your account
You must give accurate registration details and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You may close your account at any time from your account settings; deletion is scheduled with a grace period, during which you can cancel it, after which your personal data is removed as described in the Privacy Policy.
We may suspend an account that is being used to break these terms or the law. If we do, we will tell you why.
4. Acceptable use
You may not use Opterva to break the law, to infringe anyone’s rights, to attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service or to anyone else’s data, or to submit content to a destination in a way that destination prohibits.
Many destinations have their own rules about automation, frequency and eligibility. Following them is your responsibility when you submit.
5. Your content
You own the product information, campaign content and everything else you enter. You grant us only the permission needed to store and display it back to you and to the people you invite to your workspace. We do not sell it, we do not use it to train anything, and we do not share it with the destinations we list unless you send it there yourself.
6. The destinations we list
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for any destination in the registry. Their rules, availability, pricing and acceptance decisions are theirs and can change without notice to us.
Our checks establish whether a site answered our request. They do not establish that it still accepts submissions, and they do not establish that your product will be accepted. Nothing in the product establishes that a destination is worth your time. A destination shown as reachable is not a recommendation.
7. Our crawler
Opterva identifies itself as OptervaBot and honours robots.txt. A site that asks not to be fetched is not fetched, and is recorded as having declined rather than as having failed. If you operate a destination and want us to stop, tell us at support@opterva.com and we will remove it.
8. Availability
We publish our uptime and we monitor the service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability and we offer no service level agreement. The service is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Subject to that: we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits, revenue, goodwill or anticipated savings, or for any loss arising from a decision you took about where to launch. Because the service is currently provided free of charge, our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount you have paid us — which is currently nil — and the minimum the law requires.
10. Changes
We may change these terms as the service changes. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you by email or in the product before it takes effect. The “last updated” date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
